Here at Netflights.com we’re not just interested in booking your dream holiday with you; we care about making sure you enjoy every aspect of it too.

If you are a parent taking your child abroad there are many things to consider before you get on your way. These can range from making sure you’ve packed all the essentials to keeping them entertained (and if possible quiet) during your flight. Perhaps most important to you is your child’s safety while you’re abroad and, while you can’t wrap them in cotton wool (although no doubt you’d sometimes like to), there are some simple precautions you can take to make sure you and your family can stay safe throughout your well earned break.

It’s easy for a young child to slip out of your sight at a busy hotel or resort and luckily there are many types of ID bracelets on the market for children that can help put your mind at ease. Products range from simple Velcro bands to high-tech GPS trackers which could keep your child safe should they manage to slip away.

Using an ID bracelet, if someone finds your lost child, they can easily locate you via your contact information on the ID bracelet to help reunite you with your child as quickly as possible. This simple and effective solution really does work, particularly with younger children who perhaps cannot talk or explain very well, especially in a stressful situation such as being lost.

If your child suffers from a medical condition such as diabetes, asthma or a severe allergy, you may want to write this on your ID bracelet too, or consider purchasing a specific medical bracelet. Medical bracelets are easily identified by the embossed rod of Asclepius (staff and serpent) symbol or a red cross to draw attention that your child my need urgent medical attention should they become incapacitated when they are not with their parent or guardian.
